Digital Birmingham is a Birmingham City Council initiative and part of a city wide strategic partnership of more than 40 public, private and voluntary organisations
"As head of the Digital Birmingham initiative, the city's strategic partnership dedicated to encouraging people, businesses and communities to exploit the benefits of digital technologies. I am working with partners such as business, Science City (the universities), the health and voluntary sector, to help Birmingham make the transition from an industrial city to a digital city and one that's able to compete on the global stage.
Through Digital Birmingham, we are influencing digital investment and uptake across the city with the aim to generate economic growth, close the digital divide and promote greater social inclusion. I am determined to ensure that Birmingham is a leading digital city, with the right infrastructure, a thriving digital media sector, digital showcasing at international level and crucially skilled citizens and innovative businesses engaged with the technology that will make Birmingham the place for investment and business growth as well as a great place to live, learn and work."
