Training future paramedics in Second Life 30/10/2008

More and more organisations, whether public or private, are joining the virtual worlds bandwagon and the National Health Service (NHS) are no different. Paramedics in training are using Second Life to take part  in scenerios they may find themselves in real life, through their virtual avatar.  The scenerios are set by the institution in which they are training.

Google just cannot stop being innovative and adding to their ever increasing product line, and this new one is no exception. “Google Goggles” is an additional tool on Gmail, where people can test their aptitude before sending an embarrassing email to a love interest or work colleague.

Digital Action Plan to be launched Autumn 2008 03/10/2008

Paul Murphy MP will address the SOCITM Annual Conference 2008, on 13th October, to set out his task force’s Digital Action Plan, which will be published shortly. The conference will be taking place in Newport, South Wales from 12-14th October.
