Beat the credit crunch! Start saving through your TV.

4th June 2009

Anyone living or working in Birmingham can now take advantage of the Citysave credit union scheme from the comfort of their own home if they have digital tv.   Subscribers to Sky Digital, Virgin Media and Freeview broadband services in Birmingham can use their remote control to access information about the scheme by choosing “Looking Local”.

If you can afford to save a minimum of £4 per week you could also take advantage of loans at competitive rates and pay using a method that suits you such as payroll deduction, standing order, paypoint card or at local collection points.  Financial exclusion and digital exclusion go hand in hand so start now: “Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves”.  For more information either switch on your tv or type www.digitv.gov.uk/digitv/cds/Birmingham/Netgem/home into your browser or if you have a web enabled mobile phone type www.digitv.gov.uk/digitv/cds/Birmingham/mobile/home.
