Survey highlights fears around geo tagging your location 08/02/2011

 

Do you tag your location?  A recent survey by Microsoft highlights the high percentage of people who still have safety concerns about giving the location of where they are.  However the survey also shows that while the number of services which give you valuable information relative to where you are, such as weather or traffic info. grows, so will the number of people who realise its value. location-based-survey_usage_and_perceps_exec_sum

Teenagers Tackle Cyberbullies 05/03/2009

It has been recently reported that one in three teenagers are suffering bullying by mobile phone, text messages, messenger or on the Internet.  Tuesday saw the launch of a team of online Cyber Mentors to help teenage victims of bullying and they were deluged with calls for help with hundreds of victims and friends of victims logging on to chat to one of the 700 specially trained teenagers about their problems.
