Computers have an after life after all 05/01/2009

The shop “Community Computers” in Shard End is demonstrating the bonus to the local community in recycling IT and the message is simple – if you have spare IT kit – computers, printers etc then ‘don’t bin it, recycle it’. This Birmingham project, a joint partnership between Service Birmingham and Secure IT takes redundant computers (those previously used by Birmingham City Council) and finds them an afterlife with local residents keen to take advantage of the benefits that computer access can bring.
