As we enter the second decade of the twenty first century, digital technologies are playing a growing role in our lives and in our learning. The Independent Inquiry into the Future of Lifelong Learning recognised the need for a citizens curriculum with particular acknowledgement of the importance of digital skills, to enable people to adapt to change, understand change and to be empowered to shape change.
