Hello Digital Business Conference 2009 takes place

Hello Digital invite"Hello Digital 2009 built on the success of 2008 with a wealth of high profile speakers from the region and beyond. The creative industries minister Sion Simon MP confirmed his belief that Birmingham and the West Midland's is the home of leading edge digital media innovation and enterprise.

Channel 4's Jon Gisby pointed to the success of 4iP investments in the region and looked forward to a second year with products coming to market and further multi-platform investments. Nick Appleyard from the Technology Strategy Board commented on the dynamism clearly apparent in the region's digital media production community.

The final inspiring session was delivered by David Rowan editor of UK Wired Magazine and provided the audience with a global review and vision of where digital media is going. His presentation was an early outing for the impressive zooming online presentation programme "Prezi". The Digital Britain agenda that Lord Carter presented in June was debated and the issue of regional news interrogated from a range of platform producers.Hello Digital 2009

With live links this year to China, Rome and Seattle the scene is set for the Hello Digital 2010 to go global across a number of innovation, inclusion, business, and creative programmes."

Hello Digital Business Conference "Being Competitive in a Digital World" (2009)

Hello Digital 2009This was a free to attend one-day industry event organised as part of the wider Hello Digital programme of activities. Its focus was aligned to the Digital Britain agenda looking at the opportunities and challenges this brings around digital adoption, skills and use. The programme addressed what businesses needed to do to be competitive in a digital world and succeed Hello Digital 2009economically. Particularly looking at how they adapt to a changing media landscape, develop new skills and new ways of working with a focus on applications of digital and monetising digital. The conference brought together a cross sector SME audience with workshop sessions that were themed to address both those businesses just starting out on their digital journey to those innovating in the digital arena.
