The August Family

Meet Doug, Jane and Custard. Both Doug and Jane are linked to digital businesses. Jane works for a large American software company based in Birmingham. She tests high end commercial software making sure that it works. Think of the software that matches the supply of car parts to the demands of the production line. It has to work and Jane makes sure it does.
Doug is self employed and creates software which gives on demand print solutions. If your company needs to create brochures, business cards, letterheads etc then he is your man. Note that Doug has his i-pad in his hand while Jane has Custard. Doug's excuse is that he uses the i-pad for work!
They are both film fanatics and have a library of over 1500 dvd's. That surely makes them one of the most digital families this year.
They both claim to be early adopters of the internet. Doug was using it in 1991 when things called Gophers were around. Can anyone beat that?
Did you know that before 1995 the World Wide Web was just text based? In 1995 software called Mosaic was created which allowed developers to put images onto the www so the www as most of us know it is only 15 years old.
