Social networking is a subject that quite a few of us parents have a real fear off, particularly when it involves our children. The following four pages introduce you two sites that could answer your prayers.

Social Networking isn't 'bad'. Safe social networking can be a very positive experience for our children and could be used as a learning tool. (Guardian 21/04/09).
A site where children could be safely introduced to social networking is 'SuperClubsPlus'.

On this site the children interact wih each other, build their own home pages and have discussions all watched by their teachers and professional mediators. It started in the UK with funding from the Department for Children and Families and is now a worldwide phenomenon The GoldStar Cafe is a site for older members of the family.
GoldStar Cafe is a protected online learning community where 11 to 14 year old secondary school kids can meet friends, have fun and learn cool stuff.
