Twitter observes Remembrance Day

Millions of Twitter users were encouraged to observe the two minute silence during Remembrance Day on Sunday 8th November.
This highlights the high regard Twitter is held in, and how it is an established and recognised way of people communicating. Although it is a silent communication tool, it was deemed important for the "tweets" to cease during the two minute silence so respect could be paid to the many people who have lost their lives in war.
