Birmingham Business IT Disposal and Recycling Service

Secure ITSecure IT Disposals Ltd, through a joint initiative with Birmingham City Council and Digital Birmingham, offer a city wide WEEE service for collection, disposal and recycling of IT equipment, data containing devices and other electrical/electronic equipment. This means that Birmingham businesses looking to solve the problem of disposing of their outdated and unwanted IT, without breaching company security or risking identity theft, now have the perfect solution.

Any sensitive data remaining on the hard drives will be entirely destroyed to Government and MOD standards and all drives are wiped or shredded, rendering them useless to any thief or potential hacker.

Two levels of service are provided:

Silver Option (1-20 items = £5 each, 21-50 items = £4.50 each, 51 items + = £4 each)

  • Collection of equipment.
  • Destruction of data to Govt/MOD standards.
  • Re-use or recycling of equipment in an environmentally friendly and secure way.
  • Receipt of collection and certificate of destruction through audited trail.

Gold Option (1-21 items = £6 each, 22-50 items = £5.50 each, 51 item + = £5 each)

  • Collection of equipment.
  • Destruction of data to Govt/MOD standards.
  • Re-use or recycling of equipment.
  • Receipt of collection and certificate of destruction provided.
  • Full audit report on each item provided.

Collection Service

  • Collections between 8am and 6pm
  • All collections will be made by uniformed staff in liveried vehicles who will carry photo ID.

Re-sale and charitable donation

Any equipment which can be re-used will be sold on (minus the original data) to provide a revenue return of 60%, which can either be directly returned to your business or donated to Secure IT's charity fund (a cash fund set up to benefit local charities whose needs cannot be met by the donation of equipment directly).
