VirtualGym TV, a new kind of internet-gym offering a bank of full-length professional fitness sessions - each conducted by a leading fitness instructor has teamed up with Digital Birmingham to offer one month's FREE online gym membership in June to all employees and residents in Birmingham.

VirtualGym TV is designed to promote easy-to-use and accessible fitness for locals from all walks of life. Whether you're a busy mum juggling work and family, an elderly person not near a gym or a business professional with limited time for fitness, hopefully VirtualGym TV encourages you to exercise whenever and from wherever.

Sessions on offer include circuit training, aerobics and 'boot camp' and 'core strength conditioning'. Workouts are given by instructors that include Stacey Rollings who specialises in bums, tums, legs and dance. And there are also regular sessions by celebrity instructor NIki Waterman. Nikki has helped celebrities like Robbie Williams and Liam Gallagher get into shape. Denise Van Outen and tha Appleton sisters are among her clients too.

In January the Governement's Chief Medical Officer, Sir Liam Donaldson warned of an 'obesity timebomb'. He pointed to research which says six out of ten people will be obese by 2050 and nearly one in five children aged 2 to 15 already are fat.

The internet classes are strategically planned with energising early morning sessions offered alongside longer sessions available for lunch hour and tea-time users.

Digital Birmingham is offering all employees and residents in Birmingham free access to the site as part of 'Get into Digital' a month long initiative to encourage techno-phobes to get the most out of technology. To find out more about 'Get into Digital'
